Zehra is an interdisciplinary maker and sociology teacher from Utrecht, the Netherlands, working as a director across film and theatre. Her practice revolves around themes like social relationships, resistance, norms, and love. She is also a radiomaker who hosts her own radioshow called ‘DE BIOS’ on Stranded FM and ‘Distant Accord’ on Radio Worm. Drawing on her background in audiovisual anthropology, she seeks to learn more about inner and outer worlds through sound and image. Her bold ways of audiovisual storytelling push her style towards the performative and visceral.
